account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Hello, all... I have a user getting this error "Not enough storage is available to process this command" when trying to drag a mail item https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/106167 from Outlook 2010 to a folder on her local machine (Windows 7 Pro, fully patched). It is an intermittant problem. Google-fu nets me nothing but a registry fix for a 2003 server. Has anyone seen this before? And if so, is there a fix? Or will my user just have to deal with it (like so many other Microsoft glitches, lol) Thanks! How large is the PST/OST file ? 1 Serrano OP TimS777 Oct 31, 2012 at 7:30 UTC If you have enough space, check out this MS article that discusses changing the IRPStackSize parameter in the registry: http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B285089&x=15&y=11
0 Serrano OP RaymondJM Oct 31, 2012 at 7:37 UTC Is it only mail with certain attachments. I have seen this prodid not turn off my computer and this morning it was restarted because my browser was off. My family did not do it. So I think it is from a power failure. The problem is that it now http://windowsdiscussions.com/not-enough-storage-available-complete-operation-message-occurring-7.html says I have no internet, no speakers Etc. If I try to use the http://superuser.com/questions/839623/windows-8-1-error-not-enough-memory-to-move-a-file trouble shooter it says "an occurred while troubleshooting" the error id is: 0x8007000E. Same code with all the troubleshooters. Also this is the bad part. When I click on computer/control panel/music/ect it says:"There is not enough free memory to run this program. Exit one or more programs, and then try again" But it is a error copying folder. But I can open up my browser play a game etc. I already restarted and the same thing happened. So I figured ill just do a system restore, after the 1-3 minutes it pops up and says blah blah "there is not enough storage is available to complete this operation (0x8007000E this never happened to me before. There is about 80GB free disk space. When I'm trying to move one file from one folder to another, I get this error: There is not enough memory to complete this operation. The size of the file is a bit under 3 KB. The system barely uses 2GB of memory right now. I also let the system manage the virtual memory settings, since I thought maybe changing those would create some unforeseen problems. But still Windows 8.1 can't move a small file from one place to another, although there are plenty of system resources. I'm also using admin privileges so I don't think this could be an issue. windows-8 memory share|improve this question asked Nov 13 '14 at 14:55 Kuantik 4914 1 Does it copy using Roboycopy or xcopy. Can I assume your copying from and too the same hard drive? –Dave Nov 13 '14 at 15:13 1 So if you select a empty text file can you copy the file? If you can't do that then you have serious system integrity issues. –Ramhound Nov 13 '14 at 16:09 1 Wonders if there is compression involved here somewhere? that it isnt a folder, but a zip ? or some thing along those lines? Or some container encryption? –Psycogeek Nov 13 '14 at 16:17 1 Possibly related KB: Error message when you try to copy files from a Windows Vista-based computer to another computer by using Windows Explorer: "Out of memory There is not enough memory to complete this operation". Also, are you trying to move a file to a system folder? If so, you usually need to use Explorer (drag and drop) to avoid misleading error messages related to permissions. –jww Nov 13 '14 at 16:44 @Dave - I tried to drag and drop a shortcut from one folder to another on the same hard drive and same partition. My guess would be that it is somehow related to some mixed up privileges. It's not the first time I se
