stumped. I have nearly 4GB of photos and videos on my phone, and I want to put them into my computer's pictures folder. I have opened Windows Explorer and found the photos in the weird location Computer\Torbens iPhone 4\Internal Storage\DCIM\800AAAAA, but I cannot copy or move the files from here to a local folder. When I try, Windows says "Error copying file or folder. The parameter is incorrect." I have synced with iTunes but don't see where iTunes would have made a backup

copy of the photos. This is immensely frustrating. I can't believe it has to be this difficult and I must be missing something, but I don't see what that is. 1) How do I get my pictures off the phone and onto my local disk? Also, it would be so much simpler if Windows would just assign a drive letter to the device, just like it does for my digital camera and any other USB storage I connect. Is there any way to make Windows do this, or is Apple being restrictive again? 2) How can I get a drive letter assigned to the phone? (Less important but mighty annoying.) I want to copy my photos https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7053850?start=0&tstart=0 off my iPhone 6 running iOS 8 to my Windows 8.1 PC. I've been trying by connecting it to the PC. The iPhone is detected fine, and I can browse to the DCIM folder. http://pressf1.pcworld.co.nz/showthread.php?94800-Cannot-copy-filename-quot-The-parameter-is-incorrect-quot However no matter how I try to copy it gets a few files in and then gives me an error "The parameter is incorrect." That's all it says.So I've also tried using Windows error copying import, right clicking on the iPhone and clicking Import photos and videos and using that method I get errors complaining of duplicate filenames, after a couple of which that half crashes leaving a dialog you can't kill.So how are people copying photos off of iPhone?Ideally I don't want to install some third party app, or go to iCloud and manually select over 10,000 photos to download. Browsing the error copying file internet seems to suggest this error has existed since at least iOS 4, so what gives, is there a fix or does apple not care? iPhone 6, iOS 8.3, Windows 8.1 Posted on May 22, 2015 8:02 PM I have this question too This site contains user submitted content, comments and opinions and is for informational purposes only.
