fully updated with all patches. I have copieddatato it from another server, butour users are now encountering issues when they try and copy or move files from the new server.Intermittently, they recieve an errormessage with a title of "Error Copying File or Folder", with a messagesaying "Cannot copy *Filename*: error copying file or folder a device attached to the system is not functioning Cannotfind the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name." All file and folder permissions are OK. I can work down to the lowest point in the file structure and copy/move the files over the network. Moving up through the file structure and repeating the process, I can copy/move files and folders until getting to a level 3 levels deep, at which point I get the error? If I RDP to the NAS box and copy/move the folder to the NAS desktop it works fine, it's only when they are copied over the network that we seem to see the problem. We found a post here - http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrgeneral/thread/9ef9e938-d2dd-4caf-b67a-86435e2be510, the last entry describes our problem and offers a solution. Unfortunately it hasn't worked on our server... The clients trying to move/copy the files are XP Pro SP2. Any help appreciat

I have been using my RS 407 for months without issues, but since I rebuilt my Asus P5NSLI-based system with XP x64 I am very consistently getting this error. At about the same time I also upgraded the RS to the 598 firmware and I cannot say for sure if my issues can be attributed to that.I am using the latest drivers on the client for everything. I even upgraded the BIOS on the mobo. This is a pristine system and I just wiped everything out again because I wanted to make sure that I did not intruduce something on the client myself. I did not. The fresh install has the exact same problem. This happens predominantly during write operations, and delete operations. Write caching is on. I can perform the same tasks without a problem and very fast from a Windows Server 2003-based system. I researched this board for a while and while I found posting describing similar issues, none really applied to my configuration. I honestly don't want to do another install and

However, I have three target hosts experiencing exactly the same failure symptoms. My thanks in advance for any advice you would kindly offer. My very simple test case is this: psexec.exe \\myhost.mydomain -u mydomain\myuser -e /accepteula c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe /c "dir c:\" psexec connects to the target host, and I can see the psexec process start there in task manager. psexec appears to authenticates properly.psexec runs the command on the remote host. A few bytes of the directory listing data are returned to the calling psexec process and displayed. The number of bytes returned varies for a few to about 50-ish.The originating psexec process then hangs for about 150 seconds, times out, and displays "Error communicating with PsExec service on myhost.mydomain:" and "The specified network name is no longer available." I have been able to verify all of the following are true: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System\ LocalAccountTokenFilterPolicy is a DWORD set to 1 on the target machines.psexec's serviceon the target host runs properly.psexecauths properly withthe target hostusing -u and -p credentials.psexec runs the "dir c:\"command properly on the target host. The firewall connection count to the target host reflects the psexec connection.NIC teaming is off and TCP Chimney is off.The source and target hosts are all Windows Server 2008 hosts. The source and target hosts are separated by a WAN using network acceleration.None of the following fixed the problem: Reducing the MTU, turning on PMTU blackhole detection, disabling PMTU discovery. These were tried on the theory that the WAn accelerator might be adding about 50 bytes of packet overhead and that psexec does not like fragmented packets, hence packets were getting truncated. All versions of psexec display the same symptoms.Using the -h parameter to force elevated privileges to be used does not fix the problem. The Admin share is accessible, as ic C:.File sharing is on. Print sharing is not and is greyed out and not selectible. However, this is the case on all my hosts, including the ones where psexec runs properly, so apparently the required ports are open.psexec runs loca
