Mode Advanced client push doesn' t work Author Message aberdan Total Posts : 23 Scores: 0 Reward points : 0 Joined: 9/27/2004 Status: offline Advanced client push doesn' t work Monday, September 27, 2004 4:24 PM (permalink) 0 Hello Everybody, The setup is SMS 2003 without SP1 and XP SP1 client. The push account is setup correctly. When I try to push the client to the (WS14) machine(s) is not working. In %systemroot%\system32\ccmsetup is creating 2 files: MobileClient.tcf ccmsetup.exe.xxxxx (where xxxx= fna02848) The http://www.networksteve.com/enterprise/topic.php/SCCM_Client_installation_error:_failed_(64)/?TopicId=51629&Posts=8 HKLM\software\microsoft\SMS doesn' t exist and also the same CCM folder in the system32 so no logs on the client machine and the same in the ~temp folder on the client side. With the same setup I pushed successfully and advanced client on the DC of the site server and on a XP SP1 client machine which resides in http://www.myitforum.com/forums/Advanced-client-push-doesn39-t-work-m79278.aspx a vmware environment. The manually install works perfectly, the same SMS server(on the XP SP1 vmware OS I pushed updates etc). When pushing the client, there is not other process which like ccmsetup.exe that I can see in the task manager). I tried to delete the ccmsetup folder and try again but still don' t work. I don' t want to install the clients through login script. I would really appreciate to give me another idea because I don' t know what else I can do. Thank you very much for all the help, Alex Below the ccm.log from the SITE server: Waiting for change in directory " C:\SMS\inboxes\ccr.box" for queue " Incoming" , (30 minute backup timeout). $$ 2007 SCCM 2012 Labs SQL Server 2005 MDOP About Author Tuesday, 11 October 2016 You are here: Home 2012 December SCCM http://eskonr.com/2012/12/sccm-configmgr-2012-client-push-installation-tool-clientpushgenerator-exe/ Configmgr 2012 Client Push Installation Tool ClientpushGenerator.exe. Posted on December 17, 2012 by Eswar Koneti | 6 Comments http://support.omniupdate.com/oucampus10/site-development/templating-framework/templating-reference/tcf-overview.html We have been using different Methods / Scripts to install SMS/SCCM Client from Previous version of Configuration Manager. In SCCM 2012,We do have the same methods error copying what is available in SCCM 2007 , But with the release of Configuration Manager 2012, New tool has been introduced which is ClientpushGenerator.exe. More info will follow. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682191.aspx This tool can be found from SCCM Installation Drive folder:\AdminConsole\bin\ClientpushGenerator.exe. This procedure requires you to enable Client push installation the site where the clients error copying files assigned to. How to enable Client push installation : From the administration Pane--Site Hierarchy—>Sites-->Right click on site ,you see client installation Settings—>Client Push Installation Move onto Accounts Tab and create New Account. If you have custom command properties to be used for the client installation like port used, cache size,FSP,provide them on installation properties. For Ex: smssitecode=P01 smscachesize=10000 ccmhttpport=8080 FSP=CM12FSP01 How to provide local admin rights on target computers for the account specified here ? You may follow the procedure http://eskonr.com/2010/09/make-account-member-of-local-adminswhich-may-be-useful-in-configuration-manager-for-installation-of-sccm-client-push/ We are now done with requirements before we use Tool. Run the Tool from the Above said Path As you can see from the tool Above ,It asks for list of computers in text file and SiteCode to assign the clients to.(SiteCode will be pulled Automatically from the Hierarchy) This tool helps you to install SCCM Client based group wise , how you defined the Boundaries.
