Error Failed Dependencies Net Snmp

update my packages and at the end it errors out and mentions some dependencies...I'm not sure how to go about fixing the dependencies. I tried yum install and the dependency, error failed dependencies libc.so.6 is needed by i think i'm going about it the wrong way (e.g. "yum install net-snmp")..... error failed dependencies /usr/sbin/alternatives is needed Here's a sample of the error: --> Processing Dependency: net-snmp = 5.2.1-12 for package: net-snmp-libs --> Processing Dependency: perl(DCOP) for

Saâd 1127 add a comment| 2 Answers 2 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote accepted This shows your yum server do not have all dependencies for perl-Net-SNMP that's why this showing dependency resolution error when you are installing perl-Net-SNMP first you need to install these dependency's manually from another repository after complition of dependency resolution/installtion you need to run this commond yum install perl-Net-SNMP you can get
