offline environment w/ 2.1.1 Newsgroups: gmane.comp.lang.groovy.grails.user Date: Monday 22nd October 2012 14:56:29 UTC (over 4 years ago) So this sort of helped. Here's what I tried. Create a new http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lang.groovy.grails.user/134464 grails app, while connected/online. Edit the BuildConfig.groovy to delete hibernate and add in the mongo plugin. Run grails create-pom com.whatevs and mvn install. All good. (BTW, this mvn integration seems really slick so thanks good work as usual to all involved). Disconnect/shut off wifi. I figured my local cache (~/.m2/repo) should have all the dependencies I now need (maybe I'm wrong here). Create error failed a new grails app. Modify the BuildConfig to delete hibernate plugin and add in the mongo-1.0.0.GA plugin. Run mvn -o package and mvn -o install (both work fine, which I think tells me I have everything I need locally). Run grails run-app (which I wouldn't expect to work now that I know about offline mode) and I get the following build error: error failed to :: problems summary :: :::: ERRORS Server access Error: No route to host url= http://com.whatevs.company.artifactory/artifactory/libs-releases/org/grails/grails-datastore-gorm-test/1.0.7.RELEASE/grails-datastore-gorm-test-1.0.7.RELEASE.pom Server access Error: No route to host url= http://com.whatevs.company.artifactory/artifactory/libs-releases/org/grails/grails-datastore-gorm-test/1.0.7.RELEASE/grails-datastore-gorm-test-1.0.7.RELEASE.jar | Error Failed to install plugin [mongodb-1.0.0.GA]. Plugin has missing JAR dependencies. | Resolving plugin JAR dependencies... Re-run using grails --offline run-app and I get a similar error: Resolving plugin JAR dependencies | Error Failed to install plugin [mongodb-1.0.0.GA]. Plugin has missing JAR dependencies. | Resolving plugin JAR dependencies... Maybe what I'm running into is http://jira.grails.org/browse/GRAILS-9431(which looks like it consumed http://jira.grails.org/browse/GRAILS-8506). FWIW, I deployed the .war that was generated when I was offline and ran mvn -o install into Tomcat and it seemed to startup fine.
