Now the application still compiles, but when I try to run it I get an error message. error: failed to launch '/Users/username/James/mac/Browser/trunk/Browser/DerivedData/Browser/Build/Products/Debug/Browser.app/Contents/MacOS/Browser' -- Permission denied* Can anybody explain why I might be getting this? xcode osx osx-mountain-lion xcode4.4 share|improve this question edited Nov 11 '12 at 1:28 Peter Hosey 81.4k12159334 asked Aug 9 '12 at 4:15 Dennis 258312 trying doing a full "Clean" within Xcode (under the "Product" menu) and see if that fixes your problem. –Michael Dautermann Aug 9 '12 at 4:18 Michael. I tried a Clean. No such luck. Thanks. –Dennis Aug 9 '12 at 4:21 Thanks for trying. Let's do one more thing: what happens when you throw out the "Derived Data" folder (which should be almost exactly the same thing as a "Clean")? What little I found online suggested sandboxing was the culprit. I tried turning that off to no avail. I did a clean build. Any other suggestions? It would be funny (sad) if Apple's security settings were preventing you from running your own app because it thought you too shady and not secure enough. But you upgraded it. OK. That tells us nothing. What was http://stackoverflow.com/questions/11876726/permission-denied-when-running-mac-app-after-upgrading-to-xcode-4-4 upgraded? Whatever was upgraded, what was it upgraded from and what was it upgraded to? You're making us guess. Please don't make us guess.
