Formatting Help #27 "ERROR: Failed to open connection - NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORY" when host not reachable Milestone: none Status: pth-winexe closed-fixed Owner: nobody Labels: None Priority: medium Updated: 2013-08-22 Created: 2013-04-18 Creator: Thomas Hood Private: No As the title says, when the HOST isn't reachable, winexe (from winexe-waf today, commit ddb752) prints "ERROR: Failed to open connection - NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORY". Discussion Thomas Hood - 2013-04-18 This sheds a bit of light on bug #24 where "ERROR: Failed to open connection - NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORY" arises from trying to connect to a host by domain name. (Bug #24 that winexe can't resolve the name.) I'm compiling from waf repo. Do you have any package recommended to test winexe in Debian Sid ? I guess we will have to wait, until it is ready ;) [1] Thanks ! I was getting this error:ERROR: Failed to https://plus.google.com/116940732358850365207/posts/3UrJPWXrqPh open connection - NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORYI searched Google to no avail trying to fix this. Finally, I tried using the IP of the machine instead of the DNS name. That fixed the issue! So, if you are trying to use winexe and are getting this error, try using the IP instead of the DNS name of the machine.Übersetzenlinuxwave: Running windows cmd from linuxlinuxwave.blogspot.comInstall necessary packages (gcc, svn, *-devel....) I have followed the directions of a couple websites and Apple's website on how to print to a Windows printer. I've use the alternate method of option key "more printers" to access the advanced setting error failed of adding printers. I've added the Gutenprinter drivers...all to no avail. One possible hole is that I may not be getting the correct smb:// line in the advanced method. I've tried two approaches (or more):smb://imac:friends@MSHOME/Hpd530/Epson CX4200...has iMac passwordsmb://administrator:simple@MSHOME/Hpd530/Epson CX4200...has Windows passwordI CAN access the shared files on this Windows box, just not the printer. The error I get is "Connection failed error failed to with error NTSTATUS_NOMEMORY."Any help would be greatly appreciated! iMac G4 1.25, Mac OS X (10.4.11), to Windows XP SP2 Posted on May 6, 2008 4:04 AM I have this question too Close Q: NT_STATUS_NO_MEMORY error when printing to Windows printer All replies Helpful answers by BDAqua, BDAqua May 6, 2008 4:33 AM in response to Greg Kolar Level 10 (123,780 points) May 6, 2008 4:33 AM in response to Greg Kolar Pulling one out of the air here, since it looks like you don't mind trying stuff...Have you tried it with a trailing slash yet?About the best I can make out of...http://www.mail-archive.com/samba-cvs@lists.samba.org/msg42165.html Helpful (0) Reply options Link to this post by Greg Kolar, Greg Kolar May 6, 2008 2:29 PM in response to BDAqua Level 1 (13 points) Mac OS X May 6, 2008 2:29 PM in response to BDAqua Thanks for the reply.
