Its the 64bit LiveCD Latest. Have tried disabled multilib in pacman.conf and holding back gcc-libs. This is also trying to install in a VM if thats any help. BlackArch Linux member ldionmarcil commented Jul 23, 2014 Hi! Someone on IRC just reported the same issue. Can you try running `pacman -Syu' before running the installation? I'm not entirely sure what's going on but there's definitely a lot of dependency issues going on here. After the upgrade I mentioned, I ran the install script and it went smoothly. You may notice some errors about gnuradio or what not, ignore them and keep going through the install process. Keep us updated. ldionmarcil added status-accepted type-install labels Jul 23, 2014 tatac1 commented Jul 24, 2014 I got same error, so i tied `pacman -Syu' before running 'backarch-install' but I had following error when trying to set partition encrypt. device-mapper: reload ioctl on failed: Invalid argument Failed to setup dm-crypt key mapping for device /dev/sda3. so I have tried 'pacman -S libtool', The installation went smoothly without above error. dfinf2 commented Jul 24, 2014 Hey guys thanks for the input, I tried pacman -Syu and it asks to replace 'gr-fcdproplus with community/gnuradio-fcdproplus' and 'gr-osmosdr with community/gnuradio-osmosdr' I said no to both and get a Bus error upgrading maltego. If i hit yes on the above replacements I get 'error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies) :: gqrx: requires gr-osmosdr' Trying Ignorepkg = maltego now dfinf2 commented Jul 25, 2014 I was able to get through pacman -Syu by IgnorePkg = maltego mariadb perl-tk python-pyqt4 python2-* qscintilla veil unace webkitgtk* . Once I ran blackarch-install I get a bus error when it attempts to start cfdisk. If I can provide anymore information let me know, would love help get this working flawlessly. Note: on two of my other computers i had to ignore different packages i.e. nodejs python-*, etc. BlackArch Linux member ldi

Remove gcc-libs-multilib?" Not optimal, but fine for https://github.com/BlackArch/blackarch/issues/801 me I can always switch to multilib again after upgrades.- Answering yes to this option does not work. It then fails because "gcc-fortran-multilib: requires gcc-multilib=4.7.2-1" (whichever version). What I have to do is manually install all gcc packages before upgrade: "sudo pacman -S gcc gcc-fortran gcc-libs". Then upgrading pacman works fine. Now since I know about this now and know how https://chakralinux.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=9212 to get around the problem, it is not so much a problem for me. For a "clean" upgrade though, I would say that this is not very nice.gcc-multilib provides all gcc packages right? So why the need to install "default" gcc instead for pacman? Or is it just that gcc-multilib are not up to date yet? And why doesn't pacman understand that it could just replace gcc-fortran-multilib by gcc-fortran?
