use, such as if its mounted or mapped by an active LVM

logical volume. If the blacklist in /etc/multipath.conf does not restrict multipath from mapping the device, then when it gets device-mapper: table: 253:4: multipath: error getting device run during boot it will attempt to map it. Because the device is in use, this mapping will fail. Have you tried the blacklisting procedure mentioned at comment 3 in the https://access.redhat.com/solutions/38538 bug? https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=675366#c3 ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Jorick Astrego"
lun after system reboot Issue is multipath service is running but the server was not login in to the iscsi storage.,So we manually login to the storage server using iscsiadm http://oracletechdba.blogspot.com/2014/11/kernel-device-mapper-table-2538.html command then we are able to discover the device and mount. Session-1 [root@ ~]# service multipathd restart Stopping multipathd daemon: [ OK ] Starting multipathd daemon: [ OK ] [root@ ~]# multipath -l [root@ ~]# service multipathd status multipathd (pid 30249) is running... Session-2 In other session try tail -f /var/log/messages Checking manually login to md storage iscsiadm -m node -p >storage_ip> -l After error getting login do check path was discovered multipath -ll Now the mdstorage mount -a [root@~]# mount -a [root@ ~]# df -h to see mount point is mounted Posted by Karl Marx at 23:41 Email ThisBlogThis!Share to TwitterShare to FacebookShare to Pinterest Labels:DATABASE,PERFORMANCE LINUX No comments: Post a Comment Newer Post Older Post Home Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom) Search This Blog Loading...
