The good news is I was able to fix it fairly easily. Here's how I did it:1: Find the directory in windows explorer (C:\Program Data)2: Right click on the 34BE82C4-E596-4e99-A191-52C6199EB69 directory and select properties.3: Select the 'Security' tab.4: In the 'Group or user names' box, there should be the following entries; SYSTEM Administrators (xxxx\Administrators) Users (xxxx\Users) (where xxxx is the name of your computer)If these user names do not exist, create them by clicking on 'Edit' and then 'Add' and typing in the user name.5: Set the permissions for these user names (using the 'Edit' button) as follows; SYSTEM - check all boxes except 'Special Permissions' Administrators (xxxx\Administrators) - check all boxes except 'Special Permissions' Users (xxxx\Users) - check Read & execute, List folder contents and Read.6: Rember to click 'Apply' after setting up

I can't find any help on getting around it. I have taken ownership of files and folders. I am running as administrator. I have run the install as administrator. The problem started with trying to reinstall my antivirus program. Now it is prevalent on several programs when I try to install them. The last update I got from TurboTax wouldn't install. Now I can't even run the program. I have to get this fixed. If you give the “Everyone” group full rights, then it is not necessary to add “System.” NOTE: You must allow inheritable permissions. The MIP Share directory (which the error getting file Server installation created) contains the files necessary to install Sage MIP Fund Accounting’s program files at each workstation. First, the MIP Share directory must be shared so that the workstations will have access to it. Right-click the MIP Share directory at the server and select Sharing. If you do not see Sharing listed, you will need to log on as a user account that is a member of the Local Administrators or Power Users group. On the Sharing tab, click Share this folder. Click the Permissions button. Add the desired Users/Groups. Grant each user/group Full Control. A minimum of Change and Read permissions are required. NTFS formatted servers will display a Security tab, in which case you must grant NTFS Permissions. The Security tab will not be available if the drive is formatted using FAT32. Click the Security tab. Add the desired Users/Groups. Grant the users/groups Modify, Change, Read rights. Click OK on the Permissions and Share Properties forms to apply these settings.
