Are you able to uninstall via SafeMode? 0 Jalapeno OP Geekuilibrium Jan 2, 2015 at 4:58 UTC I second Brianinca's response. Specifically, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971179/ I've had a very similar issue since they gave all students free Office 365. It has trouble installing when there is trash left over from a demo version (or any version for that matter). Click the fixit for your OS, and you should be good to go. 2 Mace OP George1421 Jan 2, 2015 at 5:17 UTC I third Brian's response. We had an issue with a botched Office install and we couldn't uninstall it because of an error. We used the office 2010 clean up tool referenced by Allan.
