I run a hackintosh now since 10.5. But now, something happened with 10.6.8 and I tried the wohle last week to get it to work. I have a samoe kind old system, but it worked perfectly until 10.6.8. I did all the suggestions with MultiBeast. My system is: Asus P5E (ICH9) X38 https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1161087?tstart=0 Motherboard Nvidia GTX275 When I start the system, It boots fine, until the message FireWire (OHCI) TI ID 8025 PCI: Bad selfIDs, issuing bus reset is coming up, and it retries 40 times. And when the GUI starts, it stays apparently frozen for 10 minutes, then it comes up, and everything works perfectly. You can also look at my log here. Can you tell me if there is a better way http://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/10-6-8-takes-10-minutes-to-boot-please-help.22942/ to see all the boot log? I do not use a DSDT. In my extra folder is only FakeSMC, IONetworkFamily, JMicron36xSATA and NullCPUPowermanagement. I use the latest Chimera for booting. Tell me what information you still need.
