Some of clients (count >300 ) shows 1/2 update(s) failed to download. even other clients successfully installed it. Actually this happens usually when we approve new updates & upto next week from approval this count goes down automatically i.e updates install automatically.logs at client side indicate Download failed error. below is the log of my server -Program Files\Update Services\LogFiles\SoftwareDistribution.2009-06-30 07:56:34.324 UTC Warning w3wp.42 SoapUtilities.CreateException ThrowException: actor = http://10.5.4.101/ClientWebService/client.asmx, ID=c06023f0-41e5-4660-a681-cdf26da1b8f4, ErrorCode=ServerChanged, Message=Server rolled back since last call to GetCookie, Client=c9e8381e-006e-4911-bf91-1e94eb735b152009-06-30 07:57:21.230 UTC Warning w3wp.29 SoapUtilities.CreateException ThrowException: actor = http://10.5.4.101/ClientWebService/client.asmx, ID=0679e536-a346-4e4d-8cc7-2841ea277fc1, ErrorCode=ServerChanged, Message=Server rolled back since last call to GetCookie, Client=aa57a6a9-9587-447f-8c69-0cb7055155f92009-06-30 07:58:13.012 UTC Warning w3wp.29 SoapUtilities.CreateException ThrowException: actor = http://10.5.4.101/ClientWebService/client.asmx, ID=2ce88467-7d1c-4932-bae0-494e670ea3f0, Er

I recently had to reinstall my WSUS server and for some reason none of https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/480406-wsus-3-0-sp2-clients-not-reporting-to-server my clients will report to it? I have done everything that Microsoft has suggested and even a few things people form the web have said and still no luck. I have confirmed with the Client Diag tool they see the see the sever along with the web tool for downloading a file from that server and they all work fine. I have posted the windows update log from one of the clients here in hopes that someone will see what I'm missing. if you guys need any other logs from either the client or the server just let me know and I will post them as well. Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now I'm installing WSUS onto a domain controller (Server 2012 R2). I have the role up and running, have a custom Computer group with our ~200 domain computers running Windows 7 Pro x64. I have synchronized the server with the Microsoft Updates server, and approved error code =configchanged many, many updates for installation. In my list of computers, I see machines needing anywhere from 10-160 updates. I have configured both the default domain group policy, as well as WSUS Policy, to point to this domain controller, automatically download/install updates, and check for new updates daily as well as 5 minutes after boot. Unfortunately the domain computers don't seem to be reporting back to WSUS, and WSUS never shows any computers receiving updates. On my test machine if I manually check for updates direct from Microsoft I get authentic results, but when I check for updates via sever (our traditional way) it comes back with an error 80244019 For the GPO in Windows Update for "specify intranet locations", I have entered: http://servername http://servername:80 http://servername:8530 All with no results of computers getting updates. I feel like the WSUS is set up correctly (how many modifications can there really be?), and feel like I have customized the default and WSUS GPOs correctly (pretty straightforward enable/disable for server 2012)....Seems like the clients just aren't looking for updates...any ideas? In the migration process from server 2008 > 2012 r2, we have had some resid
have gone through every log i can think of any cannot identify what changed at that point but i cannot see anything, but since then the WSUS App Pool has maxed out the CPU. It is SCCM integrated so i have checked the SCCM logs also, there was no activity at that time, we are not doing any deployments, no patch download activity. I have recycled the apppool, restarted IIS and then restarted the server, but with the same result. I have increased the number of threads in the app pool to 2 and then 4 and left it for a few hours, but that didnt resolve the issue. The only way is to stop that AppPool, which obviously kills WSUS. Can anyone suggest how i can identify the cause of this problem and how i can resolve it? This is having a significant impact on the server overall, and also the VMWare host.
