Error / Undefined Resource In Findresource
Join the Community! Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now We have a user who, when she prints *anything* out, an error code is printed out instead. TextERROR: undefinedresources OFFENDING COMMAND: findresource STACK: /ProcSet /KMOptions -dictionary- First I thought it might be the driver, so I installed a new driver and this didn't work. Then I thought it might be something to do with the connection to the printer so I swapped out the network cable and made sure the port was patched properly. Eventually we just swapped the Mac over with a known working one. I tested it on our printer and it worked just fine, so I thought 'yay, it must be finally fixed'. Anyway I took it over to the user and swapped it over, and lo and behold, it would only print out this error again. The printer works perfectly for everyone else, it just seems to be this user. I'm at my wit's end here... any ideas? Also I had a Google earlier about the error message and found the following information, which might be useful for the right person. "A named resource instance sought by findresource cannot be found; that is, no such instance exists either in VM or in external storage. This error arises only in the case of findresource with a defined resource category. If the category itself is not defined, resource operators execute the undefined error. Causes: findencoding executes the undefinedresource error if the encoding array specified by key does not exist or cannot be found." 0 Habanero OP Sean Wolsey Apr 2, 2014 at 3:00 UTC If the printer is managed, make sure the user has access to it. Another issue may be that the user's profile is corrupt. You might have to backup their data, delete the user and re-create them. Contrary to what Mac fans want the rest of us to believe, Macs can be corrupted just as easily as any o
