I assume you mean Acronis True Image Home 11. In this case please download the latest updated bootable media from your account, then burn it onto the CD, and check whether the issue remains. Please keep in mind that ATIH11 is a very outdated version, and in case the latest bootable media fails to work, there's not much we can do. I would advise you to test Acronis True Image Home 2012. If you're using Acronis Backup andRecovery 11 Workstation, then please register the license you own in your account, and proceed with downloading and burning the media. In case the issue remains, please gather Acronis Linux Report a

I just bought an SSD drive and wanted to revert/refresh/restore my baseline OS build instead of cloning my current 1-year old Win 7 build (which gets cluttered and bloated) When I try to boot my fatal error PC with this Acronis boot CD, I get the following error: Starting Acronis Loader: Acronis Loader fatal error: Boot drive (partition) not found. Store this conveniently, and use it to creat additional boot disks and even bootable flash media. Your problem stems from trying to boot to media probably not created by the drive selected. You say it works in the laptop? Is that where the media was created? If so, is that where your Acronis program files are stored? Sometime optical drives are not totally aligned. If you have the ISO file, you can burn a disk for that particular optical. With newer machines, I prefer the bootable thumb drive. Assume you are talking about Acronis prepared rescue media and not the program disks. If you are dealing with SSD, you should upgrade to TI 2012. #2 corkyg, Sep 3, 2012 GoodEnough Golden Member Joined: Apr 24, 2011 Messages: 1,253 Likes Received: 6 It's not about where the media was created. I think it's a SATA compatability issue. I am going to try a BIOS mod (IDE Compatability) I am also going to try bootable USB. What is "TI 2012" Not Texas Instruments, I assume #3 GoodEnough, Sep 3, 2012 corkyg Elite Member

really need to replace my C Drive. gary6716-01-2015, 05:34 AMThe trial of active@ lets you make a bootable flashdrive to do that. wainuitech16-01-2015, 06:57 AMI can't get Acronis True Image to work (which came with the drive) Is there some sort of error message, or simply doesn't work ? DeSade16-01-2015, 08:11 AMacronis loader fatal error boot drive (partition) not found I looked it up but I cannot follow the fix as I have no idea where my Win7 CD is after 5 moves. wainuitech16-01-2015, 10:58 AMacronis loader fatal error boot drive (partition) not found I looked it up but I cannot follow the fix as I have no idea where my Win7 CD is after 5 moves. What I suspect has happened is Acronis has not cloned the boot partition, LOTS of software doesn't always copy the hidden partition. If you want to download your W7 Version from http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/ They are legit ISO's, you would still need your own product key to install. Then follow what ever instructions you have, the ones from the following - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/32523/how-to-manually-repair-windows-7-boot-loader-problems/ Use the startup repair first, that often fixes it. Failing that what Gary posted will work, as you can clone or image the complete drive. DeSade16-01-2015, 11:32 AMi want the entire c drive copied to a new SSD, this is not for backup or anything i do not relish reinstall of terrabytes of games. wainuitech16-01-2015, 12:24 PMi want the entire c drive copied to a new SSD, this is not for backup or anything i do not relish reinstall of terrabytes of games. Windows 7 has a hidden partition that contains boot guff ( technical term eh ) :D anyway, Some cloning software wont see or clone the hidden partition, hence one possible reason it wouldn't boot and you got the error message. In reality, ( stay with me now -- Geek stuff) When Windows installs, the hidden partition is actually C the working drive partit
