Char was trying to remove Quicken and got the fatal error message. Char, I am going to list this answer as a tip on the tip page also for you. Char the fatal http://forum.worldstart.com/showthread.php?t=148397 error message means it is already gone. However it is still on the list of programs. To get rid of it you need to go into the registry as follows: Click run and type regedit. Click on + sign for HKeyLocalMachine Click on + sign for software Click on + sign for Mirosoft Click on + sign for Windows Click on + sign for Uninstall Scroll down and look at all the installed programs and if you see quicken delete it. It’s a long tree that opens so use the up and down arrows on the keyboard to scroll through the installed programs. As you scroll look in the right hand pane for publisher and it tell you who’s program it is. After you delete the quicken file open ‘ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS’ again and you will notice it is NO LONGER ON THE LIST. PS Back up the registry by clicking on file and export the registry to your desktop before you start in case you screw it up...it can be restored. __________________ Desktop MSI G860 Jimmy Carter View Public Profile Visit Jimmy Carter's homepage!
