account only takes a few minutes. Join Now We use Symantec Ghost for our cloning solution. I've used it before but for some reason, I am having trouble getting it to work on two new Latitude E5540 laptops. Here are the steps I have usually taken in order to clone a device. With the Ghost disc in the device you are cloning, boot from disc on that deviceAfter the boot process, click the OK buttonFrom the menu, click Ghost Cast then click UnicastType in a session name and then for the discovery method, I select the "automatic" radio button then click OKFrom the Ghost Cast Server, I type in the session name, select the "create image" radio button then give it an image name and finally click "Accept Clients"Usually from that point forward, everything begins to work normal. But for some unknown reason, I cannot get this laptop to talk to the server when creating an image. Windows firewall is disabled on both machines and I also have remote registry enabled on both machines. What else could I be missing or doing wrong?
