Miller TEG Forum Member Members 19 posts Location:Belmont, NH Posted 02 March 2006 - 09:58 AM I am running XP-Home Edition. In repeated attempts to clone my master C drive to my slave G drive, I keep getting the subject message from my cloning program: Norton Ghost 2003. I have checked; the destination drive was found to have no damaged sectors. Both C and G were working normally. C still is but nothing is accessible on G because, hoping a quick format would just maybe enable me to clone to it, I did a quick format. It didn't work. I also on the suggestion of a Symantec tech erased the 1 big partition of that drive. That didn't help either. Nothing I've done has resulted in anything but the subject message. I found from some online site that 11030 is apparently a MS designation which is defined as "An invalid shaping rate object was found in the QOS provider-specific buffer." Can someone help me with what I can do or try? 1. Does the 11030 message mean that something is amiss with my destination drive? 2. Or that something is amiss with my source © drive? Or something in my XP O/S is amiss? 0 Back to top #2 managed managed ☼ Y ☼ N ☼ W ☼ A ☼ Members 8,807 posts Gender:Male Location:Liverpool, England Interests:Computers, Football, Science Fiction. Posted 02 March 2006 - 08:29 PM Hi John, I think the first thing to do is sort out the G drive. Ghost 2003 can't 'see' it until it is properly partitioned and formatted. Please do START > RUN type DISKMGMT.MSC then press Enter (or click OK) From the window that appears please post back with details of what device or partition each drive letter represents. With that info. we should be able to set up the new drive. Once that is done we can go on to the 'cloning'. 0 ALLAN VirtualBox - fast Virtual PC Erunt - Registry backup utility nLite - make custom XP CD Back to top #3 John D. Miller John D. All of a sudden I https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/21696702/Norton-Ghost-Invalid-Drive-Destination-Error-11030.html am getting this error: Invalid Drive Destination Error 11030. It is a single OS machine, no dual-boot. I just ran virus scans, AVG, Ad-Aware Personal Edition, and Spybot.
