Level 1 (0 points) Q: HP LaserJet 1012 won't print in Leopard I have a HP LaserJet 1012 (probably 3 or so years old) connected to my iMac (2.16GHz 20") via USB ... it worked like a champ under 10.4 and still works like a champ under Windows XP (via BootCamp) ... but it seems as soon as I moved to Leopard, the printer keeps hanging ... in the printer's status box it hangs on "Opening printer connection" ... then after some time it seems to timeout and the print job registers "stopped" in the que.I don't know what I do different, but every once in a while it prints (I try to delete que items, I even delete the printer and re-add it ... the computer sees it and recognizes it as a 1012 when I add the printer ... so I can't imagine it is a connection problem)Thanks for any assist!V/R,Jay iMac 20" 2.16GHz, Mac OS X (10.5), 2GB RAM Posted on Nov 12, 2007 8:40 PM I have this question too Close Q: HP LaserJet 1012 won't print in Leopard All replies Helpful answers Previous Page 2 by orangekay, orangekay Jan 8, 2008 9:32 AM in response to Jay J. The Gutenprint drivers are not really a viable option as they not only fail as frequently as HP's own (albeit in a completely different way), the output they produce also looks terrible. Letters and lines are wobbly, and the stochastic screening looks like something an inkjet would have done 15 years ago.
