restarted the printer it gave me the following error "RFU Load Error/download file"Then i followed the post and cleared the RFU error according to the post http://h30499.www3.hp.comThen after that im getting the http://fixyourownprinter.com/posts/76119 error49 .FF95 Service error ,and the printer stays in that condition1. I performed a cold reset2. Tried to send the file (RFU) Via LPT1 but the printer displays the same message instead of (receiving Update) and after some time the DOS prompt gives the message sending failed .3. Also turned off the and disabled the LAN How can i now send the RFU file to the printer now ? , in what mode should i put the printer hp laserjet Need Help Regards Respond to this 0 All did not go well when you upgraded. The printer should have restarted by itself so my assumption is you turned the printer off and then back on before the upgraded had completed. The printer menu should have said to turn off the printer and then back on and not the computer. As it stands right now the formatter is toast and needs to be replaced. Removing the message only hp laserjet 2420 works if the firmware upgrade was ok and since you are getting the error now it means the upgrade was not ok. I assume you only have power going to the printer when you turn it on. In other words power on the printer with no cable going to the computer. If you get the same error the formatter needs replacement. If it comes to ready, then you have a print job in the computer printq causing the error. by dmzcompute on Dec 12, 2013 at 5:02am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 dmzcompute ..|Thanx for the reply i can see the HP logo on the Printer LCD , also tried turning off several times but no goodis there any way that i can boot fro COMPACT flash Card ?? by abdkhan on Dec 12, 2013 at 6:53am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Do i have to replace the DIMM Module or the whole board ? means is the DIMM chip called formatter or the whole board ?Thanks by abdkhan on Dec 12, 2013 at 9:22am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Dimms are just memory. Firmware is mounted on the board which will mean replacement of the actual board. by dmzcompute on Dec 12, 2013 at 6:39pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Please sign in to comment HP LaserJet 2420 Bu
