I'm checking the assembly now. is there any refrence to what would generaly cause problems in the pcb? ty for the replies by unknown on May 2, 2007 at 2:36pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Everything that I could find was posted. by Stephen on May 2, 2007 at 5:13pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 I've never seen that issue on a printer, but let me see if I can steer you in the right direction. At the front center of the toner cartridge, you'll see an indentation and in that indentation is the chip. From what I understand, it works on RF. If you look inside the printer, there is a rectangular white piece of plastic that moves around a bit. That must be what reads the chip and what they call the antenna assembly. I would take a look at that and see if it isn't somehow damaged or off it's mounting. by moe on May 2, 2007 at 5:15pm Add comment Please sign in to comment Please sign in to comment HP LaserJet 4100TN Buy discount ink Buy this printer More HP questions © Copyright 2011-2016, FixYourOwnPrinter.com, Inc. I have that problem on a 4300 that HP says is ok, and when I got it back same thing! I replaced DC, PS/HV and even the toner reader to no avail.
