Hp Laserjet 8150 Error 13.2
Left Door. This is when it's initialising - not when I try and print something. There is no paper stuck anywhere in that area. I've taken the duplex unit out and tried again but it makes no difference. I've taken the fuser out but can't see any problems. The little arm which senses the paper on the fuser unit moves freely and I can see the little flag on the left movin in and out of the sensor as I lift the arm up and down. Tried cleaning the sensor with a cotton bud when I had the fuser out. I've checked under the toner, had both paper trays out but can't see anything. I'm stumped. Can anyone offer any suggestions please?ThanksJohn Respond to this 0 The one place you have not checked is the facedown exit assembly. I am not sure if this work on the 8000 but worth a try. With the power off take a sheet of letter paper and open the door below the manual feeder on the rigt side and put the paper in the path and close the door. Now turn on the printer. I know on the 8100 series it will after warmup give the message checking paper path and will take that sheet and feed it through the path to the facedown exit assembly and it the sensor flag is stuck in the facedown asembly or a piece of paper there it will sometimes clear it. If that does not happen, you need to remove the top cover and check the sensor flag towards the back on the left side. It sometimes pops out of it holder and sticks in the up position indicating paper still present when none is there. Just press it back down into the hold and it should be good to go. by dmzcompute on Mar 8, 2007 at 4:42pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Thanks for your reply. I tried inserting a sheet of paper in the paper path as you suggested but then when I turn on I just get the error message 13.20 Paper Jam Check Right Door. When I take the paper out again and close the door it changes back to 13.20 Paper Jam Check Left Door. The small sensor arm in the middle at the top where the paper exits moves freely. If I follow the sensor arm spindle into the housing I can just see something moving as I raise and lower the arm. Not sure if thats the sensor flag or not. Is there any info anywhere on how to remove the top cover? Thanks,John by nodge on Mar 9, 2007 at 1:55am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Just to add that I undid 2 screws towards

I am not at work right now so I can't tell you exactly which sensor. The flags break or fall out of place sometimes.
