Join Now I had to power cpu1 machine check error down my Dell PowerEdge T110 II server last night and when I went to bring it back up, I cpu 1 has an internal error (ierr) get the following error: CPU1 VCORE: Voltage sensor for CPU1, state asserted was asserted I thought maybe the power supply was bad, so I swapped it out with a spare
Cpu 1 Machine Check Error Detectedbut I still can't get the server to boot. I found this error by pressing F10 and running the hardware diagnostic. Has anybody come across this problem before? First of all i would definitely power the machine off and remove all power to the system. Hold in the power button for 30 seconds to drain the flea power and power back up. Clear your error log(ctrl e to access the bmc and the system event log is located at the bottom) and see if the error returns. If it returns, i have seen chip creep cause this, in which the server has been up for awhile. I would power down, and re-seat the CPU in it's socket. While doing so i would inspect the CPU for damage or debris, as well as the socket for bent pins etc. Re-install everything and Clear your error log(

I will continue to search By the way, when this happens the server freezes and you can't ping the server as if the nic card shut down. machine check error The server is still up according to the DRAC. These are on 64bit blade servers running Windows 2003. Fresh build like all other servers. We currently have over 30 or so of these M600 64bit blades with no issues.
