Fatal Error C1093
Status: Closed Compiler internal error C1093 during typecasting Project:Delphi Build #: 6.18 Version: 6.0 Submitted By: Dmitry Zubrinsky delphi internal error la30 Report Type: Basic functionality failure Date Reported: 3/6/2006 1:28:05 AM Severity: Infrequently encountered problem Last Updated: 9/30/2006 1:33:35 PM Platform: All versions Internal Tracking #: Resolution: Need More Info(Resolution Comments) Resolved delphi internal error the-405 in Build: : None Duplicate of:None Voting and Rating Overall Rating: (1 Total Rating) 1.00 out of 5 Total Votes: None Description During components compilation I get this error (C1093) each time I try to add custom function into the original unit (apparently this appears as some special type (Float64 as NumberType) is being introduced). Steps to Reproduce: Units are available on request (error appears within otherwise perfectly sound line): ... var I : Integer; begin for I:=0 to Count - 1 do Items[I]:=NumberType(FDefaultValue); (...compiler error C1093 here...) end; Replacing text above with: for I:=0 to Count - 1 do Items[I]:=FDefaultValue; resolves the issue. Workarounds Right now I'm trying to change compiler / linker options during installation. But simply removing typecasting 'NumberType' resolves the issue (also, the FDefaultValue variable was originally created as 'NumberType' type within it's class constructor: ...Create(ElemCount: Integer; ADefaultValue: NumberType); begin inherited Create(SizeOf(NumberType)); FDefaultValue:=ADefaultValue; Count:=ElemCount; end; and typecasting as above may be necessary only in an unforeseen case. I don't know what it means. I always have to Clean, Compile and then build to get rid of it. This is actuall workaround. It's fine but annoying. If I click on it it takes me into the last line in Lan.Graph.pas unit. (end.) How can I find out what is a problem? If so, what platform(s)? I would also think it's 10 times easier to copy/paste that error than to take a screenshot. –Jerry Dodge Mar 24 '15 at 21:07 I am using VCL. –Nix Mar 24 '15 at 21:37 docwiki.embarcadero.com/RADStudio/XE6/en/… –Free Consulting Mar 24 '15 at 22:30 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted When the compiler reports an internal error, that is a compiler bug.
