For example, right clicking on a text file (.txt) or

a folder will cause Add to entries to be available. Alternately, if you right click one archive file, such as a Zip file, WinZip will not winzip show Add to entries, but will show Extract to ones. The behavior above is true for any of the file types that WinZip will open. Some of these file types, such as ISO files, may be ones that you would like

to zip from a right click, since they often can be compressed further in a Zip file. If you select multiple archive files, multiple mixed files, or a folder you will find Add to options in the WinZip context menu. If you want to zip just one archive file using a right click, you can do so by creating your own Send To command. To do this you would need to: Download and install the WinZip Command Line Support Add-On (with older WinZip versions, winrar you may need to download a different add-on version from either Alternative Download Links or from Legacy Download Links) On the keyboard, press (the Windows key)+R to open Run In the Run dialog type: %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo and click OK In the SendTo folder that opens, right click and create a NewText Document Rename "New Text Document.txt" to something meaningful to you Change the .txt extension to .bat (example: Zip_Archive.bat) Right click your .bat file and choose Edit Type and then save the following 2 lines in your .bat file: set file=%~f1 "C:\Program Files\WinZip\wzzip" -ex "%file:~0,-4%.zip" %1 You should now be able to right click an ISO file (or any other archive) and choose Send ToZip_Archive.bat (assuming the name) and WZZIP will zip the ISO file, use its current name for the Zip file name, and place the Zip file in the same folder as the original ISO file. If you want, you can place your .bat file in a different folder, create a shortcut to the .bat file, rename the shortcut, and place the shortcut in the SendTo folder. In this way you could name the shortcut without the extension and change the icon. For example after creating Zip_Archive.bat in the folder of your choice (or moving it to the folder of your choice) you could: Right click the .bat file and choose Create Shortcut Rename the resulting shortcut to Zip Archive Right click the shortcut and choose Properties In the Shortcut tab of Properties click Change Icon In the

That might force it to the computer if the SD card is not there. ...ken... VANDRING03-23-2010, 03:23 PMNope, does not work. When connecting to the computer going in to "My Computer" I can see that the file is on the card but as a win zip. Is this common? I am totally new into hand held GPS:s so here is one "stupid question" Is it only possible to view the map if I am acctually at the location? I am in Luxembourg and bought a UK map. Could this be the reason I cannot find the map on the Dakota? I loaded on to a SDHC 4GB (enough) assuming it doesn´t matter which SD card I use kganshirt03-23-2010, 09:25 PMYou are also a computer novice, yes? First you need to open the .ZIP file. Double-click on it and tell us what files (and folders, if any) are in it. Include the full filenames and types (e.g. gmapsupp.img, etc.). Then we can tell you what you need to do next because it depends on what files you have received. You may have a

OSM doesn't make ISO images available, so either you downloaded the file from somewhere else (and would have to ask them why the file is broken), or maybe your system thinks that the file is an ISO image when in fact internal error it isn't. What operating system do you have, and how do you try to "unzip or open"? (25 Apr '11, 20:41) Frederik Ramm ♦ I downloaded from osmmaps.com. I have windows xp and when I try to open with win zip I get the error mesage. I attached my garmin nuvi 200 to my computer and drag and dropped the file into a folder error internal error on my garmin's sd card but still not getting maps. (26 Apr '11, 11:43) tdfam2 1 I've just downloaded the Central America map from there, copied it to a "Garmin" folder on the micro-sd card on my Nuvi 265w, searched for "Belize" (via Where To / Cities / Spell) and got a map of Belize City. The mapping's a bit incomplete, but that's because the data isn't in OSM yet. You shouldn't do this. Double-clicking tells your computer to "find the program that will understand .img files, and open this with it". But this .img file is not meant for a program on your computer. It's meant for your Garmin GPS unit. Assuming you have an SD card installed in the card socket for your Garmin, simply do this: Connect your Garmin to your computer via a USB cable. Put your Garmin in USB Mass Storage mode.
