with Clipper Now for the STR() I'm thinking of changes the DBF field types for N to C and doing the totals, sums and other math stuff with the VAL() function in the code. My plan is to test this function out with about 200 open files and see what happens. When it's perfected I'll take the load off the file handleing. ?
