Thread Status: Not open for further replies. Advertisement Neil45 Thread Starter Joined: Dec 13, 2008 Messages: 3 I just bought a new D-Link router today. Everytime I try and install the router, it won't go past "restarting network." I always get the "Error 109 internal error", what is that mean? I set it up exactly like it said but it won't go past restart network. What is wrong and how can I fix this error? Last year, I bought a D-Link PCMCIA wireless internet card which quit working after a month or two. I sent the card in to get a replacement. The replacement lasted a few more months before dying. Your problem might be defective hardware. I would return this product and buy another one that is NOT D-Link. D-Link has plenty of good products, and I don't know anything bad about this particular router. First off, you don't need any software to install a broadband router, that's probably the first problem. Let's try to get a basic setup running with a wired connection. Reset the router to factory defaults by holding the reset button down for 15 seconds with power on. The following procedure should get you a connection with any broadband modem that is configured to use DHCP for the router connection, such as cable modems, and many DSL modems. If you require PPPoE configuration for the DSL modem, that will have to be configured to match the ISP requirements. Turn off everything, the modem, router, computer. Connect the modem to the router's WAN/Internet port. Connect the computer to one of the router's LAN/Network ports. Turn on the modem, wait for a steady connect light. Turn on the router, wait for two minutes. Boot the computer. When the computer is completely booted, let's see this. Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD to open a command prompt: In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following command:

Just had a 'phone call from someone saying he can't open the .pdfs any more, even though he's been using them for a while. Acrobat Pro X internal error 109 brings up the bookmarks list, but then displays the message "There was an error processing this page. There was a problem reading this document (109)."Any idea where the problem lies and what to do about it? I suspect it may be file-corruption at the client's end, but I'd welcome confirmation before telling him so! 29851Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 3 replies 1. Re: "Error 109" in files returned by customer Bill@VT Jul 9, 2014 7:23 AM (in response to FieryPantone) Did you send these PDFs by e-mail? If so, did you check to be sure they were encoded? Sometimes e-mail clients see PDFs as text and they are not, they are binary. A few years ago there were also issues with Outlook treating PDFs incorrectly, even if properly sent. I don't remember the details on that one. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. After installing 1.21 about a month later my system went offline. I cannot get back online. I know the router is fine, a friend took it home and had no problems with it. He even rolled it back to 1.11, that has been suggested. I brought it back home and still cannot link. I tried to reinstall it and it gives me this error message, error 109 internal error. Does anyone know what this means or have a suggestion to help me get back online. Thanks Logged EddieZ Level 10 Member Posts: 2495 Re: Error 109 « Reply #1 on: January 26, 2009, 07:33:15 AM » If the device works somewhere else you might want to check:- Cable- PC installation (software/OS or hardware/NIC)Can't help you with the error. Just to be sure: when is the error generated and is it the router or the PC causing it?
