NAVISION ERROR 1355 in Module 19 I am currently running Navision[V] 3.6 but we keep getting an "Internal Error 1355 in Module 19" has anyone else had this error? The Navision Consultant that we use suggest that we upgrade from 3.6 to 4.0 but can't say for sure that upgrading will resolve the issue. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks Former Member Cancel Timo Lässer 0 2005-4-26 9:03 PM I found the following informations about this error:#Err_DBM_NotReentrant2 processes tried to call the same function in DBM which is not allowed. The way this error is provoked is the following:1) Client issues a db request (which sits in queue on the server)2) Client doesn't get a response in a timely manner (because the server is either busy with this queue or with something else)3) Client re-issues the same db request4) Server says "why do you want the same?" = "non-reentrant code"The reasons are usualy:a) the delay between client and server. I have seen it at a big installation when doing a restore (or changing/redesigning table objects) as client server. When doing the same as client only (on the server) everything was OK. Additionally you must not re-design table on running system(while old table objects might be in object cache of some other clients) - you may corrupt the database.b) the server is busy responding this or other requests. This may be a performance issue and you need to let us know if that is standard code or added functionality. In both cases, wrongly selected key or poorly structured SIFT fields and keys are most likely to be the problem.- Check the size of the temp-file- Reduce the DBMS-Cache to 256 MB- delete the zup fileor- The error has been (or should be) fixed with 3.60 HotFix 9 Timo Lässer Dean McCrae 0 2005-4-27 7:52 AM This is old information and does not address the problem I'm afraid.See my explanation of the cause for the error, if you are interested, at:http://www.mbsonline.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6782&whichpage=1There have been several attempts to fix this

I am now getting the Error 1355 in Module 19 http://forum.mibuso.com/discussion/8067/error-1355-in-module-19-during-restore about 75% through restoring the keys on the Audit Trail table. I have not directly modified the Audit Trail table so am not sure why it would fall down here. I have searched the forum on this but not found a similar issue. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem may be and a possible way round it? Thanks! 0 Comments Timo_Lässer Member Posts: 481 2005-10-13 Have you really searched this forum? Post Tags: Deadlock, Internal Error 1247, Navision I did meet this error for the first time several years ago. Today some of my colleagues saw the message for the first time and did not know what to do about it. Internal http://techblog.byllemos.com/2008/10/internal-error-1247-in-module-19/ Error 1247 in module 19 is equal to #Err_DB_NewWTAMissing DB_Err(1247), where WTA is short for Write TransAction. This error can occur if two or more users run into a deadlock. The first user, that run into the deadlock http://www.waldo.be/dynamics-nav/platform-updates/dynamics-nav-3-70-5-0sp1/ will recieve this message and will, by clicking ok to the window message, cancel his transaction (The Navision Client will Crash). The second user will thereby not notice there has been a deadlock and will therefor continue his internal error transaction. This again means, that it will be difficult to find the area where the deadlock has occured. So what to do? If you can recreate the deadlock - then its great, because this mean that you can do something against it All you have to do - is looking through the code and remove possible deadlock situations. One way to do, this could be using the Client Monitor, it can predict possible deadlocks in the C/AL internal error 1355 code. A second way, if you are using sql, would be using the sql profiler. It can log your steps, which could help you pin point where there might be a issue. If you have pin pointed the area where the deadlocks can occur, that you have to go through you code. A good idea could also be to optimize indexes and sift's on the tables. Good luck with your deadlock search!
