Tags ... Cancel Opening file - Internal error: Access violation Hi, We are having trouble with a few files, which are producing an error as soon as the file opens. (The Abort\Retry\Ignore dialog box.) The error notice displayed in the message window is "Internal error: http://communities.bentley.com/products/microstation/f/142/t/42098 Access violation". Has anyone seen this error before when opening a file? It could be related to our VBA customisation, since the file opens OK when we try it with a vanilla version of uStation V8.5. Any ideas would http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/qaID.asp?tip=3965 be gratelfully recieved. FWIW, although replacing/deleting the user preference filemay seem like it"fixes theissue",in most instances itactually just "hides" it -- see Think you have a problem caused by a UPF? Not so fast... for more regarding that. Cancel Phil Chouinard Wed, Nov 11 2009 9:35 PM In reply to ben.hewitt: Ben, there are various things that you might want to check: The exception log is identifying something not-so-good happening with VBA... might want to consider reinstalling and/or "repairing" the MicroStation installation. There could be a combination of the VBA macro and your additionally installed applications, so you might want to start with the "vanilla" MicroStation delivery and add one thing at a time to see if that helps identify the possible cause. You are running an "older" release of MicroStation V8, you might want to consider obtaining, installing, and trying a morerecent version (the "current" MicroStation V8 2004 Edition is v08.05.02.70) Cancel ^ Go to first post Communities Home Getting Started Community Central ProdCAD Videos Web Links SW Development CAD Shop Search CAD tip # 3965: Question CAD%platformcategory INTERNAL ERROR: !dblayoti.cpp@97: ePermanentlyErased Probably a conflict with Blue Beam, Pushbutton PDF or other utility.
