When trying to open up an Adobe file, I received the error Internal Error 2330. 1392, C:\Program files\Adobe\Reader 8.0\Reader\Browser. I tried to uninstall Adobe and got the same error. Through Windows explorer I could not open the "Reader" folder. It said it was corrupted and i could not delete the ADOBE directly manually. I was able to uninstall Adobe Reader 8.1.0 by first going in and changing the name of ADOBE directory under program files, but i still cannot delete the ADOBE directory directly. Is there a way to manually delete the ADOBE directory. Thanks Don Hahl 9620Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. Show 11 replies 1. Re: Internal Error 2330. 1392 (Eric_Caternolo) Jan 30, 2008 7:25 PM (in response to (Don_Hahl)) I'm having the exact same problem. I purchased a Dell lap top with Adobe Reader 8.1.1 already installed. A few weeks after my purchase I installed a 30 day trial version of Adobe Photo Shop. Interestingly enough after my 30 day trial was up I suddenly was unable to open Adobe Reader or Photo Shop. I get the exact same error messages. I contacted Adobe and the response I received was to look on the site under support. Not finding my answer I called and was instructed that they don't have support for free or trial versions of their product. However, I could pay $39.99 for phone support. Very disappointed with their service and with not standing behind a product, free or not. I had also contacted Dell to find a solution and they tried everything I had tried. Their solution was to instruct me th

I have tried using Smarty uninstaller. When I refresh the list of programs there, https://forums.adobe.com/thread/392973 Adobe Reader 8.1.2 is not listed. I have tried to reinstall Reader 8.1.2 and Windows informs me that the program is already present on my system.(Odd, since I appear to have uninstalled it, according to Control Panel Programs.) I am at a loss now. Can anyone help? setup Installation error 2330, 1392 Installation error 2330, 1392 New 28 Jun 2009 #1 TheN View Profile View Forum Posts Newbie Join Date : Jun 2009 Posts : 1 Vista Home Premium 64-bit Local Time: 19:24 Installation error 2330, http://www.vistax64.com/vista-installation-setup/234688-installation-error-2330-1392-a.html 1392 So, here's the deal. I have, as is visible here somewhere, a copy of Vista Home Premium 64-bit on a Gateway P-6860FX laptop. For a long while, I've been having problems. They seemed to have gotten progressively http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/internal-error-2330-1392-c.3573535/ worse, potentially in response to my failed attempts to fix it. What happens is a failure to install almost any game and even a few programs. For example, a Microsoft Installer CleanUp Utility that was recommended I internal error use has failed as well. When it comes to the games, I believe the installation fails at the point of attempting to install a file called vcredist_x86, a Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package. Some things give me both a 2330 and 1392 error message. Some just give me a 2330. For example, the exact error message I am given when trying to install the C++ Redist. on it's own is: "The installer has encountered internal error 2330 an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2330." The CleanUp Utility gives me both. Here is the more specific message given by the game itself, the latest one to fail on my gaming laptop. There are two: "Error 2330.Error getting file attributes: C:\Windows\Installer\$PatchCache$\Managed\058A22391909E0D42B25E328DE3A9DA4 GetLastError: 1392" "Error: -1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information." In fact, both this game and the CleanUp Utility reference "C:\Windows\Installer\$PatchCache$" My computer, I've discovered, has no C:\Windows\Installer folder to begin with, unless it's a folder that only appears during an installation. Note - I've tried to circumvent these errors on previous programs by copying files from the CD to a self-made directory, copying installation folders from one computer to mine using a flash drive, and even installing the C++ Redist. on another laptop and copying files to here. While all those files have been deleted, I'm afraid they've made this problem much much worse. There may be references to files that cannot be deleted on this computer as they came from a USB drive, for instance. If there's a way to solve this without reinstalling Vista (my disks are at home, and I'm at a beach!), please share it with me! Though I'm losing hope, and dooming myself to restart
