I have been working with the product on and off for a few weeks, trying to setup a deployment package. The package must also deploy MSDE along with my application, and I have had some luck getting this to work using some redistributable options. But, recently I have been getting an "Internal Error 2343" messagebox during the install process. I have looked up this error, and I always see it related to Office and/or Lotus. I am involved with neither. Can anyone perhaps provide some insight into what is happening? Or, how to resolve the problem? Please keep in mind that I am new at this. P.S. I have tested the install on three seperate machines with the same outcome. AMI receive an Internal error 2343 during install while it says it is creating folders. My question is, do I need to put an entry in the CreateFolder table under the power editor for every component I create? Thank you BL NewsArchive09-24-1999, 12:00 AM2343 means that the specified path is empty. At https://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?142266-Internal-Error-2343 what point durring the installation are you getting this error? Usually, this error occurs if you are trying to use a property from the Directory Dialog controls and have not defined that property in the directory table. This *may* also occur if http://community.installshield.com/archive/index.php?t-71875.html you are using a directory identifier from a feature or component which is ot defined in the directory table. To answer your question though, you do NOT need to create a CreateFolder entry for every component you create. Th main reason for that table is to create empty folders. -- David Thornley Lead Developer Support Engineer InstallShield Software Corporation http://www.installshield.com Brandon Lowe wrote in message <37eaad05.0@news.installshield.com>... >I receive an Internal error 2343 during install while it says it is creating >folders. >My question is, do I need to put an entry in the CreateFolder table under >the power editor for every component I create? > >Thank you >BL > > Powered by vBulletin Version 4.2.2 Copyright © 2016 vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
