product on a clients Windows 2000 operating system, about 15% thru copying files it comes up with the error Internal Error 2381 D:\ I cannot find any info regarding this error number? Chandima03-20-2003, 03:38 PMIn the files view, have you specified any files to be installed to the D:\ drive? Do you use a Custom Action to change the value of INSTALLDIR at runtime? This error seems to happening because the setup is trying to copy a file to the D:\ drive (and this user doesn't seem to have one). MarkFW03-21-2003, 01:06 AMI have investigated further with the client. He has a partitioned drive d:\ on a Win 2k system. He is installing on c: drive where Windows was installed and has heaps of disk space on this drive. We don't have any files that are specified to be installed on d drive nor do we change the install path in the custom action. We have had plenty of successful installations on Windows 2000 machines except for this one. He has 3 other similar machines that do the same thing????????????????????? I have tried to copy the installation onto the hard drive (c:) and it still comes up with the same error. Chandima03-24-2003, 02:47 PMIt's possible that there is a stray entry in the setup. Could you please send me your .ise file to chandimar@installshield.com so that I can take a look? The reason that the user has 3 other machines that cause the same problem could be because he has the same ghost image on all three machines which MIGHT have an incorrect registry setting or something. I'll take a quick look at your project though to see if anything obvious is wrong. Powered by vBulletin Version 4.2.2 Copyright © 2016 vBulletin Solutions, Inc. All rights reserved.
