Internal Error 2709 Office
Service Pack, but when attempting to install it, I received an internal error code 2709.PFIT12XX.HLP.REG - whereupon the installer exited. This happened right at the start of the installation process. I had turned off Norton System Works, and wasn't running anything else. I am using Win XP Home, the WP Office 12 version is 12.0.0.231 (initial release). I'll try and download it again on another computer to see if that makes any difference. Re Silient08-03-2004, 06:34 AMI'm trying to reproduce the error (no success thus far). I would suggest you start with doing a Repair of your current install of WPO12: 1-Go to the Control Panel, Add\Remove Programs 2-Select Wordperfect office 12 3-Click Change, click Next 4-Select Repair, click Next 5-Select "Reinstall entire program", click Begin Then once this is finished, then try applying SP1. BTW: I opened up the WPO12 MSI install file (can't open an MSP sorry) Usually a 2709 is an error in either component (missing or not matched) In this case, the component is a series of reg keys... (2 keys their names are registry511 and registry512) the component itself is PFIT12XX.HLP.REG The first reg key weent looking to update HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\COREL\PFLegacy\12 And that entry point is for the help files... so on.... HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\COREL\PFLegacy\12\Location of Help files etc. I'm weary to suggest editing or investigating the registry just yet. Run a FULL repair (files and shortcuts dbowman08-03-2004, 11:53 AMThank you for the info. I'll try your suggestions as soon as I can get back to my computer (I'm replying from a different one). Solved Error 2709 - An internal error has occured Posted on 2009-09-04 MS Access 1 Verified Solution 2 Comments 4,859 Views Last Modified: 2012-05-07 One of my clients has several PCs running Office 2007 Pro. Our http://www.wpuniverse.com/vb/archive/index.php/t-14837.html?s=109a09a16e19c7b845542d4a7825d017 supplied database is written in Access 2003 for which we provide a run-time licence. This works on all of the machines, but a couple of days ago the client tried to add a new Windows user to one of those PCs and now gets the following error everytime our app loads (on any user logged onto that PC). Error 2709: An internal error has occured [Global_PIA_OWC11] Our 2003 database still loads, but https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/24706966/Error-2709-An-internal-error-has-occured.html this error will become irritating. I suggested re-installing the 2003 run-time licence, however when this comes up with the options to Remove/Repair 2003, it generates the same error.
