I am running Windows 98 and I want to uninstall my copy of Mcafee Virusscan Professional version 7.02.6000. I went to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and tried to remove Mcafee Virus Scan Professional. Mcafee opened a dialog box, where I clicked Next to get to Program maintenance page. There were two options available Remove and Repair and I chose Remove. The progress bar stopped at "Status: Installing system catalog" and I got a message box saying "Internal Error 2715. F1277_hhupd.exe" Mcafee won't uninstall. Please help. Ashampoo is the better of the two you listed so that is what I'd suggest you use unless you don't like it for some reason.
