I installed Window 7 (64 bit) through bootcamp and everything is behaving properly. I've installed several windows based programs on the bootcamp partition. All is working beautifully... until I get to Vegas. I've tried installing Vegas 9c and installation always stops with the following error: Internal Error 2721. SfWMF4Setup Paid Sony tech support declined to even discuss it with me. I know that people are successfully using Vegas on a Mac, though. Please oh please could someone help me? Thanks, JeffReturn to posts indexReport Post •Re: Problem installing on new Macby Jeff Waters on Nov 17, 2009 at 1:30:36 amI found my own solution to this: I went back and verified the versions of EVERYTHING. yes, Snow Leopard, Bootcamp 3.0... but then I noticed when booting into Window 7 that there was an "N" after the Windows 7 name. "Windows 7 N". After some digging, I found that the European Union forced Microsoft to offer a version of Windows that does not come bundled with Windows Media Player and associated assets. Not sure how, but this is what my IT guy gave me! I found the upgrade for the media pack here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?displaylang=en&FamilyID=310... After installing this, the Vegas Pro 9c install went smoothly! I happen to be running on a Mac, but I believe this error would have occurred on any PC running an "N" version of Windows.Return to posts indexReport Post•Re: Problem installing on new Macby Meg Healy on Sep 14, 2010 at 6:09:06 pmHi! I am having the same problem, except I don't have the N version. Do you mind walking me through how your installed Sony Vegas on your computer, please? I have a MacBook Pro and Windows 7. I put the disc in and I can see it on my Mac page, but not on my Windows page. Help! :)Return to posts indexReport Post<< PREVIOUS • VIEW ALL • PRINT • NEXT >>© 2016 CreativeCOW.net All Rights Reserved[TOP]

Solved Installing Sony Vegas on Windows Server 2008 Posted on 2010-08-30 Windows Server 2008 MultiMedia Applications 1 Verified Solution 4 Comments 1,991 Views Last Modified: 2012-08-14 Hi, When I try to install Sony Vegas 9 on Windows Server 2008 I get the following error message: "Internal error 2721 SfWMF4setup". We have the 64 bit OS, I have tried both the 32 and 64 bit software versions. As I understand it the program is not officially supported on this OS. On various forums however I see hints that maybe people are using it successfully somehow. Even if you don't know specifically about Vegas, general comments are helpful. My workplace just bought a server with the intention of installing this kind of workstation style software, so that people could remote desktop into the machine and use it. I am starting to have a feeling this idea might have been a bad one, if workstation style software often doesn't work on the server OS. We ended up installing vmware ESXi 4 and creating a virtual machine running desktop OS (xp x64). We then shutdown the vm, made 4 copies of it and essentially ran 4 copies of the same vm.... changing the network name of each vm so we could have 4 people logged into the sever using remote desktop at the same time... since all instances were running on the same hardware, it technically was using only one license. 0 LVL 3 Overall: Level 3 MultiMedia Applications 1 Windows Server 2008 1 Message Accepted Solution by:gfdos2010-08-30 you could use hyper-v on windows 2008 as well if you needed the server for some other purpose as well.... or you could reinstall windows 2008 as a
