If so you are lucky... add /l*v PATH_TO_LOG.log switch and look at the last few lines while the error is up. Generally speaking it is a directory table error. There is a reference to a directory that is not in the directory table or in there incorrectly. Did you add any CAs? If so they could be too early in the sequence before the tables have been built etc. hkoirala09 3 years ago No i didnt add any CAs ? talonsprem87 3 years ago Can you please run a validation test over the MSI, you will narrow down to your answer. And yes what dandrik said is also correct, there is some error in Directory_ table Please log in to comment Answer this question or Comment on this question for clarity AnswerSubmit Don't be a Stranger! I also added CUSTOM_LOCATION entry in directory table with "TARGETDIR" as "Directory_Parent" and "DefaultDir" as "." , then also when i choose my custom folder and press OK button it throws this error "Error https://community.flexerasoftware.com/showthread.php?196717-getting-Error-2727-Directory-entry-not-found 2727.The directory entry 'CUSTOM_LOCATION' does not exist in directory table" Why does this happen?? There is a setting in release configuration to exclude unused directory identifiers. That will be my first thing to check. 2727 NewsArchive05-08-2000, 12:00 AMHello, I made a CA in a merge http://community.installshield.com/archive/index.php?t-75426.html module, this CA executes CMD.exe with a command line. The properties are: Type: 34 Source: SystemFolder Target: cmd.exe /c "[INSTALLDIR]andante\components\registerjobsystem.cmd" This CA is executed in the execute sequence after Install Finalize. The setup crashes with an Internal Error 2727 (MSI help: The directory entry '[2]' internal error does not exist in the Directory table) However, in the directory table this does exist, as a standard item. Does anyone know how to work around this? Thanks in advance Jaap van Alphen NewsArchive05-08-2000, 12:00 AMYour source & target strings should look like this: Source: [SystemFolder]\cmd.exe internal error 2727 Target: /c "[INSTALLDIR]\andante\components\registerjobsystem.cmd" Jaap van Alphen
