Any suggestions will be greatly received. I used the control panel add/remove programs but no good -- there was no adobe uninstall program hence the use of the control panel to remove -- can somebody help me please Thanx in advance 40south, Dec 26, 2006 #1 Sponsor RSM123 Joined: Aug 1, 2002 Messages: 5,531 Not sure if it will help - but in case there is a component of Photoshop running during your uninstall procedure ... have you tried booting the pc in safe mode first, then trying to remove this program ? http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chsafe.htm RSM123, Dec 27, 2006 #2 40south Thread Starter Joined: Oct 20, 2006 Messages: 11 Hi RSM123, no I haven't tried that but will give it a go when I get back from work -- thanx for your response 40south, Dec 27, 2006 #3 40south Thread Starter Joined: Oct 20, 2006 Messages: 11 Hi Rsm123 I tried your suggestion but no good -- I tried to reinstall it but the same error was appearing --- I opened HJT and went to the uninstall manager -- hilited adobe and deleted it -- it deleted from the HJT uninstall program list but in the control panel add/remove programs adobe is still listed -- but now it has no change and remove options -- HJT killed it -- so I most probably have made things worse -- I went to the adobe.com web page to see if they had a fix for it but I couldn't find one -- so if there is anyone out there with any other suggestions please let me know Thanx 40south, Dec 28, 2006 #4 RSM123 Joined: Aug 1, 2002 Messages: 5,531 I can only think of two other things which you might try.
