Detail You recently reinstalled your Operating System. Solutions Solution 1: Exit the installer, delete the Acrobat 6.0 folder from the Program Files folder, disable start up items, then restart and reinstall. Solution 2: Check to see if you have any older versions of Distiller. If so, remove them and then install Acrobat 6.0. Solution 3: Remove possibly corrupted printer ports and printer drivers, disable startup items, and then reinstall Acrobat: 1. Choose Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes. 2. Right-click Adobe PDF, if found, and then choose Delete. 3. From the File menu, choose Server Properties. 4. In the Ports tab, select all Adobe PDF ports, and then click Delete Port. 5. In the Drivers tab, select all printers drivers and click Remove. Note: After Acrobat has installed successfully (assuming it does), you will need to reinstall your printer software and/or drivers. 6. Click OK. To disable startup items: 1. Exit from all applications. 2. Choose Start > Run, and type msconfig in the Open text box. Click OK. 3. Click the Startup tab, and select Disable All. 4. Click OK, and restart Windows. To re-enable the startup items when you are done installing 1. Choose Start > Run, and type msconfig in the Open text box. Click OK. 2. Click the Startup tab, and select Enable All. 3. If so that remove all of them, restart your machine and try installing Acrobat 6 Pro again. jnoonan Registered: May 7 2009 Posts: 3 I am trying to re-install Acrobat 6.0 and internal error get the following message: CANNOT INSTALL ACROBAT 6.0 INTERNAL ERROR 2753 DIST_ACRODIST.EXE I am running XP Pro with Administrator privileges. I had to uninstall Acrobat with the internal error 2753 Microsoft Installer fix package because it would not run any more and kept getting a message that "This patch package could not be opened" Any ideas would be appreciated.
