I had KAV 2011 installed (build .400). Upgraded to KIS trial version (build .400). Downloaded KAV build .556, tried to install, and Internal Error 2753. avpinst.dll keeps popping up. I cant install, and left unprotected because now I have neither my original KAV nor the trial KIS. Now I have Microsoft Security Esssentials (Free!) installed as contingency protection.I've tried everything under the sun to fix this problem.....every known fix I found on the internet.......... including using the KAV, KIS removal tool in safe mode from my C directory, and also running https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH12451.html the regsvr32 vbscript DOS command in safe mode, etc etc.Even used CC cleaner and purchased and ran PC Tools Registry Cleaner. Still nothing works. Here's my GetSystemInfohttp://www.getsysteminfo.com/read.php?file...10cd47ffc7e88b0 I've come across painful stories of Kaspersky installations, but this is ridiculous. Sad cause I actually like the program. Seriously, if nothing else works I'll want to pursue a partial refund from Kaspersky.....probably unrealistic but principly https://forum.kaspersky.com/lofiversion/index.php/t199434.html to get my message across to Kaspersky to make their installs/uninstalls less prone to permanent failures. dh27564 27.01.2011 21:29 Your GSI shows remnants of Microsoft Antimalware, Norton Internet Security, Microsoft Security Essentials, and Windows Live OneCare Safety Scanner. These are listed as possible incompatible with Kaspersky. Some removal tools can be found in the 5th Important Topic. Then run the Kaspersky Removal Tool again selecting all known products. It would be best to remove/uninstall all of them. Reboot and then try to install Kaspersky again. Berny 27.01.2011 21:30 HelloYour Gsi shows that you are running Norton Internet Security, Windows Live OneCare safety scanner, and a couple of other protection layers. Please check following important Title Topic about removing other anti-viruses, before installing Kaspersky. The first step you should take is removing these current security tools ... BeaverFever 27.01.2011 22:12 Thanks all for your inputs.I used the Norton removal tool. Also removed the Microsoft Live Scanner.Ran the KAV/KIS removal tool. Rebooted. No success. Its interesting to note that after rebooting, if I run the KAV removal tool, it shows that Kaspersky is still installed. I just can't seem to remove it.Her
