Trying to uninstall, I get the internal error 2753 Reg Utils error message. I used the Windows installer cleanup utility to get rid of it however in Program files > Java, there is still a folder named Jre1.6.0_07 which I assume is update 7. Would this this be safe to remove? Also I'm sure there are scads of regestry entries associated with it But I'd rather nor fool with that. Thank you, Chuck Desktop: Dell I620. Leave manual deletion as an absolute last resort when nothing else will work. Nick. I already have jre6 update 20 installed. Should I reinstall update 07 and then try to uninstall it? Thank you, Chuck Desktop: Dell I620. Java is unusual in that it seems happy to allow any number of previous versions to still exist whenever it is updated, so installing and then uninstalling 07 won't have any affect on the latest version.
