Internal Error 2753.regutils.dll
a few minutes. Join Now I have a user with a Windows 7 pc. When it was deployed Java was installed and working correctly. About a week later, when going to a site that requires Java, she's prompted to install it. When I try to install it I download the latest version (V6U23) and I get and the error: "Internal Error 2753: regutils.dll" This happens with either the online or offline install option. Google says that this could be an issue with older versions of Java but there is no older version listed in Programs and Features. But IE has a plug-in for Java. Also, there is nothing about this on Java's site. I'm not sure if this is a Windows thing or Java, since it seems that the 2753 error has shown up for other, non-Java, installs. Anyone see this before? Have you tried doing a registry cleanup and then installing again? Or installing in another admin account? 0 Anaheim OP DogFacedGod Feb 4, 2011 at 3:45 UTC I got it. I tried a registry cleanup utility like you suggested but that didn't work. But I then did a search for "Java" in the registry and deleted the keys that referenced any install file. (After backing up the reg of course). Then Java installed fine. Weird. Thanks for the push in the right direction! 0 Pimiento OP kimsland Nov 26, 2011 at 7:09 UTC 1st Post Installing Java Click HERE to update Java You can find out why you need to update Java HERE Once downloaded just run (to download fully), and install. ---------------------------- Java install sometimes errors! Errors include: 1. "Internal Error 2753. regutils.dll" 2a. "This software has already been installed on your computer. Would you like to reinstall it?" Upon clicking 'Yes' you receive: 2b. "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." 3. More errors stated HERE Very annoying! But there is a Fix Firstly in "Task Manager" > Processes Tab. Kill any/all running Java processes eg. java, jqs, javaws etc Then just download this Java Fix tool > JavaMS

Is it because I can't uninstall Java? Tags: Control Panel Lenovo Java Windows 8 Last response: 9 July 2013 15:02 in Windows 8 Share swallowtail 7 April 2013 23:23:41 I had a previous version of Java installed on my Lenovo Yoga (Java 7 Update 10) And I thought I uninstalled it, but when I try to install Java 7 Update 17, It says that the installation process was interrupted. Yes, I have tried JavaRa: that didn't work, either. I went into the control panel, and I see Java 7u10 in my installed programs. It doesn't have the normal java logo, though, it's just a plain .exe logo. I can't uninstall it. I've tried, and as it starts to uninstall, it just stops uninstalling. I have tried both 32-bit and 64-bit versions; however, nothing I do seems to work. I'm really confused. I tried to uninstall it, but once again, nothing happened. Then, I tried to find where the program was located. It was somewhere deep, I can't remember. But I deleted it. I restarted the computer, and it was still located under programs. I was so rattled. So I was trying to install Java again anyways, and it kept saying "cannot locate old Java file" and stuff like that. I clicked cancel, and it said "failure to uninstall Java. Please contact technical support." About 5 minutes after not calling tech support, I found this thing called Microsoft Fix It. Fixed the problem right away. Uninstalled Java, too. I went
