This does not happen all of the time, and actually happens very infrequently. This would leave one to believe it had to do with something environmental on the target system. However, I cannot find anything wrong with the setup of the target system when I get this error message. I will paste the pertinent areas of the verbose install log that I created to try to resolve this issue below: PublishFeatures: Feature: DefaultFeatureAction 16:33:59: PublishProduct. Software Deployment Windows Installer (MSI) Windows Installer (MSI) Error Messages Adobe Acrobat Professional X 10 Can someone please help me solve this "Internal Error 2705. I'm using Wise 6.2 to deploy our application. It http://www.itninja.com/question/internal-error-2705-directory-1 works well before and all of a sudden it didn't work. I have http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/msi-error-2835-installing-symantec-pcanywhere.1543938/ checked the Table in the Setup Editor and there seems to be no problem in the table. No red reference to the TARGETDIR as the usual diagnostics. Please I really need this badly to be fix as we are about to release this project. I really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. install Symantec pcAnywhere 11.0 on my Windows 2000 Pro system at SP4. The pcAnywhere error message indicates that there is an problem with the Windows installer package (error 1722). When I report the error to Symantec they tell me that the error is with MSI and I should report the problem to Microsoft. I'm still not convinced that the problem is not in the Symantec packaging of their product. I activated logging using MSIEXEC and in the log I see a Windows Installer Error 2835. From what I've read this appears to be a problem with the "Control table". DEBUG: Error 2835: The control ErrorIcon was not found on dialog SetupError Internal Error 2835. ErrorIcon, SetupError Is there anything I can do to resolve this problem myself or who should I be pursuing this problem with? Microsoft or Symantec? Thanks. Curt, Jul 3, 2003 #1 Advertisements Kallely Sajan Guest Looks like one of the custom actions is failing. If you look couple of lines above that DEBUG: Error in the log file it should tell you exactly which custom action is failing. Depending on what that custom action does, the problem can be on any side of the fence. Symantec should be able to tell you what that custom action does and suggest a workaround -- Regards, Sajan.
