Internal Error 30016
BIOS Screen at startup Sybase AseConnection Internal Error 30016 How TestDisk and the GParted LiveCD saved my deleted partitions Sybase AseConnection Internal Error 30016 February 9, 2011 -- Bayo Oyekole A windows service I developed - which uses Sybase ADO.NET drivers to connect to a Sybase database - suddenly stopped working yesterday. The log files showed a sybase exception described as Internal error 30016. We had a contingency server on which a copy of the main database is loaded daily, so I tried connecting to this one and the error did not show up. This led me to believe that something had been changed, and I asked the local Sybase DBA if something had changed. He was clueless. Restarting the service did not help, so I started googling "sybase error 30016". I found the solution on stackoverflow: it had something to do with the default network packet size setting on the server. I looked up the connection string setting for "packet size" from Sybase Infocenter and then i added it to my application's app.config, setting it to 2096 like the below (scrubbed, of course)
go

I use Stocked Procedures to manipulate Data (Create, Delete, Update, http://www.findcomputerstuff.com/2011/tech-tips/sybase-aseconnection-internal-error-30016 Read) I was running into this issue with some code running under .NET Framework 3.5 and usingSybase.Data.AseClient.dll(version 1.1.510.0) when I upgraded sybase server from 12.5 to 15. when the Gridview binded to a datasource which uses a Read Proc Stock with big data ---> there are automatically an internal Error 30016. This https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/5bcc1dc6-00cc-457c-a8d9-bb8282d5c130/internal-error-30016-aseclient?forum=Offtopic generates a problem in the pagination of Gridview : when I try to acces the page 80, I get corrupted data with 3 or 4 pages. I recently came across a wierd SYBASE Exception which had a description: Internal Error 30002, while I was trying to insert records into my Sybase database tables. I could not find any explanation on Sybase tech support pages, and also not much helpful information on the search engines.I opened up a Tech support case with Sybase as my company has their support subscription, and they advised us to upgrade the .NET PC Client to the latest EBF (ebf13008). This magically solved all these internal error problems.I hope some of you who may be facing these errors might get help. Thanks,Puneet Wadhwa posted by Puneet Wadhwa at 4:02 PM 12 Comments: where can i get the ebf13008 By Anonymous, at 2:46 AM Aside from inserts, another condition that raises this error is if your query outputs a column that is SMALLDATETIME NOT NULL By Anonymous, at 11:39 AM Hi, I m plnning to take up a course in bioinformatics, please tell me abt the scope of the field, my mail Id is sush_anand2002@yahoo.co.in. I have a stored procedure, which was working fine till recently. Now, it is giving that nasty error(Internal error : 30002) when it is called from .NET programs. Though when it is called from back-end, it is giving no problems. Thanks,Nirmal Jana (nirmal_jana2001@hotmail.com) By Nirmal Jana (nirmal_jana2001@hotmail.com), at 5:50 AM I'm not sure about ebf13008, but I am getting this error with this latest managed driver from Sybase:Sybase.AdoNet2.AseClient.dllVersion: 1.15.325.0Released 15th August 2008 By Andy, at 7:11 PM Hello.Where did you get that EBF from?I can't get it from the download page....
