Advertisement Frostybyte Thread Starter Joined: Feb 14, 2010 Messages: 5 Hi, For a long time I have encountered this error, Unexpected internal c-tree(R) error #7716, but now i am taking action against it. The error appears on the desktop everytime I start the computer, and i can never put the computer to sleep it always comes back on. I have tried on another forum about this problem and gave me tons of anti virus and cleans for my computer coming to no avail. Eventually they said that it was to a motherboard issue with the CMOS battery? I have no idea what this means and they didnt reply to me? Could anyone help me or advise me on what to do. Ok, What i would recommend is once you get your Norton subscription updated and installed. I would also download the following Spyware Protection suite Ad-Aware 2007 http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-2007/3000-8022_4-10045910.html Once both of these are installed, i would reboot your system and as it is rebooting tap the F8 key continuosly and this will bring you to an advanced boot menu where you will choose safe mode. Once you have booted up into safe mode run a full scan with both of these applications Norton and Ad Aware.
