Re: An internal error occurred jtsfoto Feb 11, 2011 4:03 AM (in response to lnayal) Hi Inayal,I've installed Reader 9.4.2 and made it my default reader device to get around the problem. It is with Acrobat X that I have the problem. The problem is with all protected PDF files. Unprotected files work fine. Unfortunately, the protected files are usually business related, invoices, quotes, etc. What do I change in Acrobat X to make it work?I will try what you suggested for Reader X.Many thanksJohn Like Show 0 Likes(0)

internal error has occurred". The message could not be any more generic. Nothing in the Event Viewer at the time of the pop up. He clicks on Ok and it goes away but will come back again without warning. Sometimes https://forums.adobe.com/thread/789271 Adobe Acrobat just freezes completely on him and he has to go through the Task Manager to shut it down. I've done both a repair and a full reinstall of Acrobat and the issue still remains. Any thoughts on what can be causing this and how to go about fixing it? Thanks! More about : adobe acrobat internal error occurred Best solution LesterKin April 21, 2015 2:53:12 AM Inconspicuous errors in Acrobat are inherently difficult to diagnose. They most commonly http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2615264/adobe-acrobat-internal-error-occurred.html result from either of Permissions or 3rd party software. So I would try and find out if it is one of the two before I randomly press buttons on cleaning tools. 1. Is CEO admin of his own machine? If yes check profile permissions by setting up a new admin account on the PC and log in using these credentials to see if you can replicate the issue. If a new admin account has the same issue it is not permission based. If not check what the difference is between the admin and his account. 2. It could be Internet Security (IS) interfering. Adobe has a habit to make call for updates when it starts but also ever so often. The simplest thing is to disable Automatic Updates in Edit>Preferences>Update. This is how I would start, try this and report back. Or PDF Repair Toolbox is a a new Adobe Acrobat file repair tool that allows users to fix PDF files which are inaccessible from Adobe's file recovery. There are two ways around this that I know of: Right Click on C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\AcroRd32.exe and set the COMPATIBILITY LEVEL to something old like Windows XP Give up and run FoxItReader from foxitsoftware.com an internal error Officially Adobe says Server 2012 is NOT supported for Adobe Reader. As a workaround, you can turn off safe mode in Adobe Reader. But disabling safe mode in Adobe Reader is not a good idea for a multi-user environment. As an alternative, you can use Foxit Reader (it's free without the use of plug-ins). It works fine. http://blog.it-kb.ru/2014/09/03/adobe-reader-and-rds-upd-an-internal-error-occurred-and-gpo-settins-for-alternative-free-pdf-viewer-foxit-reader-enterprise/ Reply Leave a Reply Click here to cancel reply.
