Cannot build Graph. The application may be installed incorrectly.Whatever that means.I've uninstalled, and had a clean out, then reinstalled, error remains.I've googled a bit on the subject, it seems quite common, though a solution doesn't seem available... Well one that works.Any Nero experienced folks here managed to circumvent this one?ThanksArturox Arturox View Member Profile Apr 19 2009, 08:14 AM Post #2 Member Group: Members Posts: 13 Joined: 28-June 08 Member No.: 7,980,129 Okay dokay...I discovered that as well as Showtime, various other parts of the Nero install were crabby as well, moaning about unregistered dll files, and this was even after after the uninstall/cleanouts I'd done.(In all my years of computing, I've concluded that Nero is probably the worst Install/Uninstall application I have ever used.)But back to the plot...After a whole afternoon of messin' and getting nowhere, it was obvious something crappy had happened way back, since the time I'd had multiple attempts at installing Nero 7 which had installed, but failed to work (Another Topic elsewhere).I guess it's at these times Windows System Restore is your friend, except not quite that simple.I reverted to a Restore point of two days ago, computer continued to function okay, but Nero was still nasty.I then reverted a few more day back to a time just prior to the Nero 7 debacle, computer okay Nero nasty. So I reverted back to the earliest restore point available, 7th April, uninstalled and cleaned out everything Nero...BTW Neither the Nero Uninstall process, nor the supplied Nero Cleanup tool, does a very good job, it leaves masses of crap in the registry, and leaves an orphaned entry in the "Add or Remove Programs" list... Which I can't remove even with a reg edit... (ob
Cannot build graph. Discussion in 'Video playback problems' started by bib1234, May 7, 2010. bib1234 Member Joined: Feb 13, 2008 Messages: 6 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 Hello! Every time I play a DVD Nero Showtime 3 gives me this error: "Internal error. Cannot build graph. The application may be installed incorrectly" What can I do to fix this? I am running it on WINDOWS 7 Ultimate 64 BIT, and have already reinstalled the app and tried this http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/387555 If anybody has any advice please suggest it. Thanks bib1234, May 7, 2010 #1 davexnet Active member Joined: Jul 7, 2003 Messages: 1,896 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 66 As is implied by your linked post, this http://forum.my.nero.com/index.php?showtopic=2419 problem is related to the directshow codecs, splitters & possible other related filters installed by Nero. The "graph" it's referring to is the chain of filters that get used when it attempts to render the file. Try reinstalling Nero. The other possibilty is an incompatibility between your version of Nero and Windows 7 64 bit. davexnet, May 7, 2010 #2 bib1234 Member Joined: Feb 13, 2008 Messages: 6 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 davexnet said: As is implied by http://forums.afterdawn.com/threads/nero-7-showtime3-internal-error-cannot-build-graph.723424/ your linked post, this problem is related to the directshow codecs, splitters & possible other related filters installed by Nero. I do not think the 64bit is an issue as a friend has the same setup as me and showtime works fine. bib1234, May 7, 2010 #3 davexnet Active member Joined: Jul 7, 2003 Messages: 1,896 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 66 Then perhaps something from another codec pack is interfering. Try uninstalling all codec packs and retrying the operation in Nero. davexnet, May 7, 2010 #4 bib1234 Member Joined: Feb 13, 2008 Messages: 6 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 11 davexnet said: Then perhaps something from another codec pack is interfering. To eliminate a hardware failure you could rip a DVD with nero (ie: copy it to your harddisk). If this works then it's a software problem, and removing and re-installing all involved drivers/software will probably solve it.
