NoDialog". See these images: www.bionictoad.com/misc/boinc-install-2.gif www.bionictoad.com/misc/boinc-install-3.gif (the images will not stay on my server) ____________ ID: 209079 · WinterKnightVolunteer testerSendmessage Joined: 18 May 99Posts: 10008Credit: 30,241,104RAC: 4,132 Message 209086 - Posted: 10 Dec 2005, 11:52:28 UTC It is quite usual for programs installed on windows to require disk space on the disc where the operating system is installed, C: I presume in your case, because they all need to make registry entries and in BOINC's case into the startup menu. From a personal view I think you need to look a off loading some files and/or programs onto the D: as you are running very low on space on the C: just to run normally. It is fairly easy to move My Documents to another drive and then get windows pointed at the new location. You could also try going into Administrative tools, if you have administration rights and getting the swapfile moved to the D: this can free up space, and after either of these options do a defrag on C: ____________ If you possess the skills to question your ability then, you are probably better at it than you think. If you do not possess the skills to question your ability then, you probably should not boast about them.ID: 209086 · BionicToadSendmessage Joined: 16 Jan 01Posts: 2Credit: 0RAC: 0 Message 209094 - Posted: 10 Dec 2005, 12:14:29 UTC - in response to Message 209086.Last modified: 10 Dec 2005, 12:31:33 UTC Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not the problem. I was reporting an internal error in the installer. My C: is a solid state drive. The swapfile, My Documents, all my apps, my fonts, almost everything has already been moved to the D: drive. It was not easy to accomplish this, even though I'm a professional Windows programmer. Personally, I think that requiring 12MB on the boot drive is sloppy, but an internal error is a bug that should be fixed. If this is the wrong place for a bug report, please let me know where I should send it.
