This shouldn't be an issue, but for some reason, I can't copy/paste or even wblock the background properly. The wblock only selects a few lines of the background and when I try to insert it into another drawing, I get the error aborting dialog box that lists the internal error: !dbutil.cpp@705. This also happens with the copy/paste attempt. I've purged out the drawing, saved it as a 2004 dwg, all layers are unlocked, on and thawed. I did a recover and audit on the drawing. No xrefs are being used. I searched for this internal error on the Autodesk home site and couldn't match it. The closest thing was: internal error: !dbutil.cpp@855, which was related to legacy DXF information from third party applications. Your wisdom and assistance is greatly appreciated! It seems to be a bug with the internal AutoCAD database commands that Spec PackMan uses, and not anything to do with the Spec PackMan utilities directly. To internal error dbutil fix your file:AUDIT the file and say yes to fix errors.RECOVER your file with the ALL option to recover all xrefs.PURGE all Regapps (-purge r).All 3 steps might not be necessary but it hasn't happened to me enough times to test each step. mtslights Posts: 24Joined: Wed Sep 10, 2014 12:05 pm Top Post a reply 1 post • Page 1 of 1 Return to Tips and Tricks Jump to: Select a forum ------------------ News Installation and Setup Tips and Tricks User Wish Lists Who is online Users browsing this forum: No registered users and 0 guests Switch to mobile style Board index The team • Delete all board cookies • All times are UTC - 5 hours [ DST ] Donate Now Hosted by © 2016 FreeForums.org | Create a free forum | Powered by phpBB A Member of the Crowdgather Forum Community About FreeForums | Legal | Advertise Here | Investors | ContactFreeForums.org Report ViolationTranslated by phpBB.fr © 2007, 2008 phpBB.fr suspicion-preferred

INTERNAL ERROR: !U:\global\src\ObjectDbx\DB\IMP\src\dbutil.cpp@866 Does anyone know what this error message means? I get it every once and a while and I get kicked completely out of AutoCAD everytime. Thanks! Reply With Quote 06-10-2004,09:36 PM #2 architech Guest Open a blank file of AutoCAD and recover the file. Then purge the file 3 times to clean it out of any nested blocks. Then save it to an earlier release of AutoCAD like 13 or 12. Exit out of AutoCAD but DON"T save it when it prompts you to save to 2000. Open the file again and save it to 2000 file format. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The error seems to be read as some error about DXF elements or proxy elements from another software. (clue: ObjectDbx) And the foriegn element(s) seem to create havoc with your memory which kicks you out. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hope that helps. Sorry in advance if it doesn't.
