Make sure you got this runtime installed http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109. Update your graphics drivers. Try to give me some more information about your witch version of Windows you are running. See if you can get any additional information from there. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Run-DirectX-Diagnostic-Tool DirectX Diagnostic Tool helps you troubleshoot issues with the DirectX suite of multimedia technologies that come with Windows. If you're having trouble getting game animation or a movie to run properly, you should run DirectX Diagnostic Tool to try to find the source of the problem. To run DirectX Diagnostic Tool: Open DirectX Diagnostic Tool by clicking the Start button, typing dxdiag in the Search box, and then pressing ENTER. Note: I know this would be better as a comment, but I don't have comment everywhere yet. The How-To Geek Forums Have Migrated to Discourse How-To Geek Forums / Windows XP (Solved) - Install DirectX 9.0c to pass the windows logo test; need the digital signature (9 posts) Started 4 years ago by JamesTKirk Latest reply from Hermitt Topic Viewed 3005 times JamesTKirk Posts: 143 This post has been reported. Hello Hello Everybody, I've been waiting to post this, lookin' for the geeks forum, because I sure haven't figured this part out. So here's the situation: I tried to install DirectX 9.0c two times from two separate download locations and files. Both installations failed with the error message of, "The software you are installing has not passed windows logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. This sofware will not be installed. Contact your system Administrator." Just because, I installed it three more times. But with the same disappointing results. What is a system administrator, and how do I contact them? What do they do? And will this help to solve the problem? Setup: "An internal system error occurred. Please refer to DXError.log and DirectX.log in your windows folder to determine problem." I looked at the log files and I don't see how this can help me. It doesn't tell me anything that I already don't know!!! Installation end. Installation failed. I Need the DirectX 9.0c Digital Signature from the "Designed for Microsoft Windows" logo, which seems to be a device driver I guess. It has to pass the window's logo test to be able to install ---James T Kirk Reports: · Posted 4 years ago Top warlock Posts: 4100 This post has been reported. http://www.nidokidos.org/threa.....-Into-Safe Read this.
